Farnaz is the visionary founder of the OBITSC (OUR BLOOD IS THE SAME COLOR) Non-Profit Organization, where she empowers artists worldwide, particularly women, who uses their artistic power to confront and raise awareness about human rights and climate-related issues. Her approach is deeply rooted in over 15 years of experience as an entrepreneur, team leader, architect, senior art director, cultural bridge maker, and activist. Through her extensive global travels to numerous countries and cultures, and with dual master's degrees in architecture and fine art from INDIANA-PERDU university, Farnaz's global perspective and academic rigor are central to her work in art, peacemaking, global change, and education. She is a dedicated peacemaker who believes in the unifying power of art, championing multidisciplinary collaborations that align with OBITSC's mission to create groundbreaking works in support of human rights and environmental sustainability. Her work emphasizes the transformative power of art to drive social change, foster collaborative innovation, and advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those related to Human Rights, Global Peace, and Climate Action.
As a multidisciplinary artist, Farnaz Farrokhi channels her creative energy to highlight the profound ability of human beings to drive change and foster growth. Her main medium of focus is Art Performance and based on the theories (The Magnifier Theory) that she has created in art, as her master's thesis in Fine Art, she utilizes her presence and body to explore how performance art can empower audiences to speak out against human rights violations without requiring political knowledge, inspiring change through their collective collaboration. The color red is central to her work, symbolizing the idea that "our blood is the same color." This universal element of blood, shared by all humans, signifies the essence of life and the pain that accompanies any form of human rights violation.Farnaz encourages audiences to reflect on the fundamental commonalities that unite us as human beings and to respond with empathy to pressing issues like human rights abuses and climate change, which impact lives universally, regardless of individual connections to these issues. Her approach is deeply informed by her experiences of being born and raised in the Middle East and her extensive travels around the world and experiencing her life under political and social oppression in the middle east, war's side effects, immigration and artistic expression. These experiences have shaped her belief that art is a powerful strategy for turning potential into exponential action, creating meaningful change in the world.Farnaz believes that a collaborative movement, beginning with the artist’s presence—mind and body—and extending through the empathy and participation of the audience, can lead to tangible progress and transformative change in our world.
As an art curator and change-maker, Farnaz Farrokhi is passionate about showcasing artworks that serve as bridges between cultures, fostering dialogue and understanding across the globe. Through her curatorial vision, she aims to highlight art that addresses the pressing issues of our time—human rights violations, the climate crisis, and the urgent need for social justice. Farnaz believes that art has the unique power to transcend boundaries, bringing together diverse communities, artists, and political leaders to inspire collective action for a better world. As the founder of OBITSC (OUR BLOOD IS THE SAME COLOR) Non-Profit Organization, Farnaz is particularly committed to uplifting the voices of women artists, empowering them to use their creativity as a platform for raising awareness about global injustices and environmental challenges. By connecting artists from around the world, she fosters artistic collaborations that promote cross-cultural understanding, encouraging empathy and unity in the face of shared global challenges.Farnaz envisions her exhibitions as not just a display of talent, but as a call to action. Her goal is to provide artists with a platform to confront societal norms and address themes that resonate universally—social justice, environmental sustainability, and peace. In curating these works, she creates spaces where art serves as a medium for dialogue, galvanizing communities to come together, exchange ideas, and take meaningful steps toward a more equitable and sustainable future.By uniting global artists with leaders from various sectors, Farnaz aims to cultivate a cultural movement that transcends geographical, political, and ideological borders. She seeks to build a network of creative minds whose works inspire climate action, advocate for human rights, and champion sustainable practices. In doing so, Farnaz hopes to foster connections that not only showcase the transformative power of art but also empower individuals and communities to take an active role in shaping a more peaceful and just world.Through her curatorial work, Farnaz Farrokhi remains committed to using art as a catalyst for change, based on the Magnifier Theory she has developed. This theory emphasizes art's ability to amplify social, environmental, and political issues, magnifying their impact to foster deeper understanding and engagement. By bringing together cultures, ideas, and movements, Farnaz seeks to create a powerful collective force that can inspire meaningful change and shape a more just and sustainable future.

“Our Blood Is the Same Color “ is a collaborative art project that uses art as catalyst to unite people and address global challenges. The primary message of the performance is that "our blood is the same color," symbolizing shared humanity and the impact of human rights violations such as racism, sexism, political oppression, gun violence, war, and climate change. It is an invitation to take action against any kinds of Human Rights Violations including Climate Change.
Through audience participation, the performance demonstrates how people, without needing deep political knowledge, can come together through art to advocate for social justice and human rights. By inviting individuals to recognize our fundamental commonalities, this project encourages empathy and collective action toward tangible global change.
Farnaz Farrokhi developed the Magnifier Theory, which integrates both approaches. Just as a magnifying lens focuses sunlight to ignite a flame, this theory posits that art and artists act as catalysts by bringing together both the mass of people and the quality of their contributions. Artists have the unique ability to gather and focus collective energy through their work, transforming latent potential into tangible action and change.
In Our Blood Is the Same Color, this theory is exemplified as participants come together in a shared artistic experience, contributing their individual energy to create a unified message. The performance captures the essence of both mass involvement and quality participation, demonstrating how art can amplify and direct collective potential toward sustainable global change.
