Short Film Call: "Ripples of Change: One World, One Fight"

We are excited to announce a call for submissions for our short film screening event, "Ripples of Change: One World, One Fight"  

This theme explores how small acts of courage, regardless of their location, can create global movements for human rights, peace, and justice. We seek films that illustrate how individual actions—whether advocating for peace, freedom, climate justice, political oppression, refugee rights, equity, racism, sexism, or climate change—can inspire people worldwide to unite against human rights violations. This theme aligns with several UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including:

SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions – Promoting peaceful societies, access to justice, and combating human rights abuses.

SDG 5: Gender Equality – Addressing sexism and empowering women and girls.

SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities – Tackling racism, inequality, and promoting equity and inclusion.

SDG 13: Climate Action – Advocating for climate justice and urgent action on climate change.

SDG 1: No Poverty and SDG 2: Zero Hunger – Supporting vulnerable populations and addressing systemic inequities.

Through your submissions, we aim to highlight how individual acts of bravery can drive global solidarity and action against human rights violation and achieve to our sustainable development goals.

Submission Details

 Deadline: 20TH NOVEMEBR 2024

Submission Guidelines:

1. Theme: Your film should focus on how      personal acts of bravery and solidarity contribute to larger global      efforts for freedom, justice, and peace. Emphasize the ripple effect of      individual actions and their global impact.
2. Film Length: Short films should be between 5 minutes up to Maximum 20 minutes (longer films up to 40 minutes might be      considered upon request and the decision of the committee members)
3. Format:  Ensure that the video and audio quality are clear and suitable for   screening.
4. Language: Films in languages other than   English should include English subtitles.
5. Original Work: Films must be original and      created by the submitting filmmaker(s). Ensure that you have the rights to      all content used in your film.

Submission Process:

1. Fill Out the Submission Form: Complete the online submission      form [Insert Link to Form] with details about your film, including title,      synopsis, director, and contact information.
2. Upload Your Film: Vimeo, Google Drive] and provide a shareable      link in the submission form. Ensure that the link is accessible and does      not require additional permissions.
3. Submit Materials: Along with your film, submit a      brief director’s statement (up to 300 words) explaining how your film      aligns with the theme and the impact you hope to achieve.

Special Feature: Selected films will be showcased at our screening event in NYC. Winners will have the opportunity to speak briefly (VIRTUALLY OR IN PERSON) about their film and its message during the event.

Selection Criteria:

• Relevance to Theme: How well the film addresses the      theme of global ripples of change and the impact of individual actions on      global human rights issues
• Creativity and Innovation: The originality and creativity      in storytelling and presentation.
• Authenticity and Impact: The accuracy and empathy in      depicting human rights issues and the potential to inspire viewers.

 فراخوان فیلم کوتاه: " موج  تغییر, یک جهان، یک مبارزه 

این موضوع به بررسی این می‌پردازد که چگونه اقدامات کوچک شجاعت‌آمیز، فارغ از مکانشان، می‌توانند جنبش‌های جهانی برای حقوق بشر، صلح و عدالت را ایجاد کنند. ما به دنبال فیلم‌هایی هستیم که نشان دهند چگونه اقدامات فردی — از حمایت از صلح، آزادی، عدالت اقلیمی، مقابله با سرکوب سیاسی، حقوق پناهجویان، برابری، نژادپرستی، تبعیض جنسیتی یا تغییرات اقلیمی — می‌توانند مردم سراسر جهان را به متحد شدن علیه نقض حقوق بشر الهام بخشند. این موضوع با چندین هدف توسعه پایدار سازمان ملل متحد (SDGs) همسو است، از جمله:

SDG 2: پایان گرسنگی - حمایت از جمعیت‌های آسیب‌پذیر و مقابله با نابرابری‌های ساختاری.

از طریق ارسال آثار شما، هدف ما برجسته کردن این است که چگونه اقدامات شجاعانه فردی می‌تواند همبستگی جهانی را تقویت کرده و به مقابله با نقض حقوق بشر و دستیابی به اهداف توسعه پایدار کمک کند.

جزئیات ارسال آثار:

مهلت ارسال: 20TH NOVEMEBR 2024 

راهنمای ارسال:

موضوع: فیلم شما باید بر این تمرکز کند که چگونه اقدامات شجاعانه فردی و همبستگی به تلاش‌های جهانی برای آزادی، عدالت و صلح کمک می‌کند. تأکید بر اثرات موجی اقدامات فردی و تأثیر جهانی آن‌ها باشد.

مدت زمان فیلم: فیلم‌های کوتاه باید بین ۵ تا حداکثر ۲۰ دقیقه باشند (فیلم‌های بلندتر تا ۴۰ دقیقه ممکن است بر اساس درخواست و تصمیم اعضای کمیته بررسی شوند).

فرمت: فیلم خود را با فرمت MP4 یا MOV ارسال کنید. اطمینان حاصل کنید که کیفیت صدا و تصویر واضح و مناسب برای نمایش باشد.

زبان: فیلم‌هایی که به زبانی غیر از انگلیسی هستند، باید دارای زیرنویس انگلیسی باشند.

اثر اصلی: فیلم‌ها باید اثر اصلی و ساخته شده توسط فیلمساز (های) ارسال کننده باشد. اطمینان حاصل کنید که حقوق تمامی محتوای استفاده شده در فیلم را دارید.

فرایند ارسال:

۱. فرم ارسال را تکمیل کنید: فرم آنلاین  را با جزئیات فیلم خود، از جمله عنوان، خلاصه، کارگردان و اطلاعات تماس تکمیل کنید.

۲. فیلم خود را آپلود کنید: فیلم خود را از طریق [پلتفرم ترجیحی، مثل Vimeo، Google Drive] آپلود کرده و لینک اشتراکی را در فرم ارسال قرار دهید. اطمینان حاصل کنید که لینک دسترسی داشته و نیازی به مجوزهای اضافی ندارد.

۳.  به همراه فیلم خود، یک بیانیه کوتاه از کارگردان (تا ۳۰۰ کلمه) ارسال کنید که توضیح دهد چگونه فیلم شما با موضوع هماهنگ است و چه تاثیری امیدوارید به دست آورید.

محل و زمان برگزاری رویداد:

محل نمایش فیلم: بعد از RSVP در نیویورک سیتی اعلام خواهد شد.

تاریخ نمایش: (۲۵ سپتامبر TBA)

ویژگی ویژه: فیلم‌های منتخب در رویداد نمایش ما در نیویورک سیتی به نمایش گذاشته می‌شوند. برندگان فرصت خواهند داشت به صورت حضوری یا مجازی درباره فیلم و پیام آن صحبت کنند.

معیارهای انتخاب:

• ارتباط با      موضوع: میزان تطابق فیلم با موضوع "ریپل تغییر" و تأثیر اقدامات      فردی بر مسائل جهانی حقوق بشر.
• خلاقیت و      نوآوری: اصالت و خلاقیت در داستان‌پردازی و ارائه.
• اصالت و تأثیر: دقت و همدلی در نمایش مسائل حقوق      بشر و پتانسیل الهام‌بخشیدن به بینندگان.
